Course Description

The “International Summer School in Parallel Patterns” will deliver a mix of keynotes, lectures and hands-on sessions in the domain of parallel patterns. The event will be organised over four days and open to postgraduate students (MSc, PhD), young researchers, software developers and application programmers interested in applying the structured parallel computing to their research.

The School aims to create a forum for international participants to discuss their research work and share their experience and to promote the vision of ParaPhrase project: Parallel Patterns for Adaptive Heterogeneous Multicore Systems” (http://paraphrase-ict.eu) project among scientists from academia and industry.

Venue

Located in the heart of International Financial Services Centre in Dublin, the Cloud Competency Centre at NCI has become a global hub of excellence for teaching and research in Cloud Computing. Aimed to support Irish industry taking a lead in the global Cloud Computing space, the Centre provides teaching, research and entrepreneurship skills through a mutually beneficial collaboration of experts from industry and academia.

  • 5 nights accommodation including internet access

Registration

  • Course Fee:
    • 495 euros, including course materials, lunch, accommodation, farewell dinner, OR
    • 275 euros, including course materials, lunch, farewell dinner, without accommodation, OR
    • 110 euros for one day registration, including course materials, lunch
  • Note: students are required to provide their own laptops
  • Requirements: experience working in a Linux environment; Good understanding of programming in C++ and/or Erlang;

After sending the registration email, you will receive a confirmation email. We are processing first the applications, and if your application is accepted, and you are requiring a letter of invitation to the event in order to obtain your visa, please contact us at summerschool[at]ncirl [dot]ie.
