Aims
The specific aims of ParaPhrase are:
- To develop high-level design and implementation patterns that are capable of easily exposing useful parallelism for a wide range of parallel applications running on heterogeneous multicore/manycore systems.
- To develop new dynamic mechanisms to support adaptivity for heterogeneous multicore/manycore systems, so demonstrating the general deployability of the pattern-based approach to parallelism.
- To verify that these patterns and adaptivity mechanisms can be used easily and effectively to develop a wide range of real-world applications for heterogeneous multicore/manycore systems.
- To ensure that there is scope for widespread takeup of the patterns and adaptivity mechanisms that will be developed by the ParaPhrase project.
